Community Events

Communication is an extremely important factor in adequately serving and policing our community. Eaton County Sheriff’s Deputies highly depend on direct information from the public in order to address the crime needs of our county and accurately assess crime trends. Open dialogue allows citizens to be able to engage with and get to know the police officers in their neighborhood. Trust and transparency is built on honesty and communication. This philosophy not only makes a community a better place to live but also a better place to work. A positive relationship with our public can also breed endearment towards our public servants and thus make Eaton County a safer place for them to work. The above can only be accomplished through various forms of community outreach efforts and engagement opportunities. The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office has been involved in various consistently events spread out county-wide. We will be posting about the different types of events below and hopefully participate one of our schedule events to learn more about our Sheriff’s Office and what we’re doing to make Eaton County a safe and great place to live.

Delta Twp Fire openhouse

Members of the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office joined in on the fun at the Delta Township Fire Department Open House. The family fun event included police cars and fire trucks for kids to climb in, interactive drills for kids, police K9, Eaton County 911 souvenirs, and so much more. The night wouldn’t have been complete without little bit of friendly shenanigans between the fire department and sheriffs office.

No senior without Christmas

We were excited to be part of the annual No Senior Without Christmas event sponsored by Tri-County TRIAD and made possible through generous donations from businesses in Eaton, Ingham and Clinton Counties. This worthy program provides household necessities and extra holiday cheer to home-bound, low-income older adults. Deliveries are made by law enforcement agencies throughout the Tri-County area. Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies delivered 41 boxes to seniors in Eaton County.

Recruiting event at ferris

Deputy Studley, Deputy Barber and Deputy Maring were at Ferris State University recruiting current Criminal Justice students, to help fill the openings we have, so we can continue the best level of service to this wonderful community.
